Nepal Sightseeing
Nepal has diverse things to offer for sightseeing. The natural beauty and Himalayan views, the culture and traditions, the historical monument, art and architecture, Hindu temples and Buddhist stupa and monasteries, its people and rites, myths and mysteries which are a part of the daily life of the people of Nepal. Kathmandu is the first arrival point for most visitors. Mountains surround the valley and it is divided into the three major cities of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. These were once three different kingdoms and to this day retain their own rich artistic styles and traditions. Out of the valley there are also other beautiful unexplored destinations.

Kathmandu Valley
It is easy to be overwhelmed by the seemingly uncountable monuments in the Kathmandu Durbar Square. The house of the living Goddess, the ferocious kal bhairab, the red monkey god, and hundreds of erotic carvings are a few examples of the sights at the square ! the buildings here are the greatest achievements of the Malla dynasty and they resulted from the great rivalry between the three palaces of Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. The valley was divided among the children of Yaksya Malla.
Patan Valley
The history of the Valley, according to the legends, begins with Swayambhu, or the "the self-existent". In times uncharted by history, Boddhisatwa Manjusri came across a beautiful lake during his travel. He saw a lotus that emitted brilliant light at the lake's center, so he cut a gorge in a southern hill and drained the waters to worship the lotus Men settled on the bed of the lake and called it the Kathmandu Valley. From then on, the hilltop of the self-existent Lord has been a holy place.Swayambhu's light was covered in time because few could bear its intensity.
Bhaktapur Valley
Bouddhanath is among the largest stupas in south Asia, and it has become the focal point of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. The white mound looms thirty-six meters overhead. The stupa is located on the ancient trade route to Tibet, and Tibetan merchants rested and offered prayers here for many centuries. When refugees entered Nepal from Tibet in the 1950s, many of them decided to live around Bouddhanath.
Pokhara Valley
Pokhara is its center of adventure like Kathmandu is called cultural hub of Nepal. An enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley; it is the starting point for many of Nepal's most popular trekking and rafting destinations. The atmosphere on the Shore of Phewa Lake is one of excited vitality as hipster backpacker’s crowd the many bars and restaurants exchanging recommendations on guest houses and viewpoints, both by the lake and above the clouds.
Lumbini
Shankyamuni Buddha was born in Lumini, in southern Nepal, twenty-five hundred years ago. Since his time, Nepal has been a sacred ground for Buddhists as the birthplace of the Buddha, Lumbini is a small town in the southern Teri plain of Nepal, where the ruins of the old city can still be seen. Gorkha
Gorkha is a scenic hill-town with great historical significance. King Prithivi Narayan Shah, who unified the Kingdom of Nepal during eighteenth century, was born in the township of Gorkha. Nagarkot
Nagarkot, located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, is one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur district and is renowned for its spectacular sunrise view of the Himalaya when the weather is clear. Visitors often travel to Nagarkot from Kthmandu to sepend the night so that they can be three for the breathtaking sunrise. Nagarkot has become famous as so of the best spots to view Mount Everest as well as other snow-tpped peaks of the Himalayn range of eastern Nepal.
