Ghale Gaun Village Tour

Ghale Gaun VillageThe beautiful villages of Ghalegaun and Ghanpokhara Located in the district of Lamjung, Ghale Gaun is approximately 20.5km North West of Kathmandu and 12.5 km north east of Pokhara. This village situated at an altitude of 2016m. Repository of a unique ethnic culture Ghalegaun is a true microcosm of stunning natural beauty mixed with an unspoiled ethnic lifestyle. Ghanpokhara is a beautiful village heading towards development with a concept of eco-tourism. It lies at north of Lamjung district in the close proximity of Ghalegaun at the top of Dashthar Danda at an altitude of 2100 meters. Ghalegaun and Ghanpokhara are mainly Gurung settlements; they nestle amidst mountains, rivers, streams, waterfalls and green forests. These places command a superb breathtaking view of majestic western Himalayas including Machhapuchhare(6693m) Annapurna (8091m), Annapurna II (7939m) Annapurna IV (7525m), Lamjung Himal, Buddha Himal(6974m), Himchuli (6747m) and many more smaller peaks.

Itinerary in Detail

Day 01 Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters). You will be met by our representative and transfer to hotel and a short brief about the trekking after refreshment.
Day 02 Kathmandu to Pokhara: 6 hour drive by tourist bus or 30 minutes flight takes you Pokhara.
Day 03 Pokhara - Sirubari: Driving from Pokhara - Sirubari via Badhkhola, Darau. Lunch and welcome ceremony at Sirubari, and blessing by village lama (priest).Interact with home stay families. Dinner with them.
Day 04 Hike Maidan Kharka and Thumro, observe sunrise view. Enjoy the cultural programs and observe their daily lifestyle.
Day 05 Climb to Dahare hill for views of the mountains and village scenery. Spend our last evening with the family. Probably one of the best experiences for you.
Day 06 Drive back to Pokhara overnight in Hotel.
Day 07 Early in the morning we can take a taxi to the Sarangkot hill for viewing sunrise and spectacular snowcapped mountain ranges. After lunch back to Pokhara and visit Devis fall, Tibetan refugee camp, Seti Gorge, Cave and boating in the lake.
Day 08 Pokhara to Kathmandu: Drive back or fly out to Kathmandu. Evening join Cultural show programme with Nepali dinner.
